Interest list

With many things coming up, I have to prioritize my "to do list". I haven't been sitting still, many of my projects get shuffled based on windows of opportunity. I revisit some favorite projects for improvement. With that being said, if you have a future interest in a kit version of my tank or truck, whether it be a few months to maybe when the economy gets better, do not hesitate to email me via the About Me link. With a list of those interested, it will inform me as how much to pursue replicating my work, or not.

1/6 Scale truck in the desert, and up close

Truck in Print, and on the Cover

Very exciting "making" the "cover model"! Note:actual cover is not my design. The buildings behind the truck are real....real cardboard boxes sliced and diced, reshaped and glued.

In addition to some relatively new technology used for constructing this truck, the hood was also another first for me....plastic vacuum forming.

And the Winner is...

I was in L.A. during the weekend of the 6th for the Weekend Of Heroes Convention in Glendale, CA. My objective was to place in their scale contest for the vehicles/dioramas category. I made 1st Place. Every part of the truck is created from the ground up...designed on the computer, plastic materials; wheels, tires, chassis-body, rails, lights, mirrors, wipers, exhaust, etc... Tank in Print

My armored beast of a tank is featured in Volume 2 of SixthScale Magazine, 6 page spread. If you're really into the hobby, this magazine has some really good tips and other features. This cover I designed for a colleague of mine. If you're looking to get back to school, I'd recommend it. The uniquity of the design is deep into the front cover, take a very close look(hint:keyboard keys).

Artists, save your copy rights!

It was brought to my attention by my friend, and one of my favorite artists Kathleen Moody, that the Orphan Works bill if passed will allow legal infringement on original works of art without the need of consent of the artist. So imagine someone or some business using your artwork for profit at your expense.

This bill has already passed Senate, and must be stopped at Congress.

Cad model to tangible prototype

Upping my game. Computer designed in a few hours, and received in my hands in days...its almost like having a genie in a bottle,"I wish to have a part thats like this big."

A certain company made a HMMWV in 1/6 scale; but without full size doors. I ofcourse want a fully armored rig. Computer designed.

Tank details

A neat little economic sewing machine came in quite handy for the added prop baggage, not to mention inexpensive remnant cloth material from a local fabric store.


The guns in the carriages pictured above are existing products that I utilized.

This was a study in 3dSMax of editable mesh & poly modeling, and rigging.

I did a piece way back of a bookcover design of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, it was done in photoshop. I revisited that piece, and just recreated it with, "..all new special effects never before seen," with 3dMax.

Earlier work of the virtual kind

One of several segways I created, about 10-15 second animations. Models, materials, lighting, and effects in Max.

Some work from a few years back. Oldies but goodies; my cathedral gets pretty good mileage. Modeled in 3dSmax, with some textures created with Photoshop for use in the materials. The lower macro shot was used in 2 brochures; front cover for the animation program and the back cover for the cad program

The Tank

I've always been fascinated with armor, especially tanks. Well maybe all things military.

When I was a kid, I made my own models from cardboard. Fast forward to today. When some things fell into place mixed in with a lot of research, 1:6 scale was the size I wanted my ultimate battle tank to be.
